Main Purpose of the job: 

To balance all cashiers tills on a daily basis, making regular cash uplifts, responsible for lodgements to the bank and daily reconciling of cash.


Main Duties:

  • To ensure cashier tills are balanced on a daily basis
  • To communicate differences to cashiers and management
  • To make regular cash uplifts from the tills
  • To make regular lodgements to the bank
  • To ensure cash is reconciled on a daily basis
  • Ensure coupons are returned to BWG/other suppliers as required and prior to any expiry date
  • To ensure Customer Accounts are updated and monthly invoices printed.
  • To ensure all newspaper returns are being dealt with in the correct fashion.
  • Produce ad-hoc reports as required, including reporting any Shift, Till and ATM differences
  • Ensure that shop has enough change to maintain the day to day operation and cash balancing
  • Maintain the floats for the Service Station


Key Requirements:

  • Numerical and cash handling skills
  • Team player with ability to work with managers and store staff
  • Good communication skills
  • Time management and able to prioritise workload
